What's in a name?

My goodness are we going to criticise Apple? If you look at it from our point of view though it is good to know which Ipad is being referred to so that we can direct people to the right case or cover. Calling four different versions of the product 'iPad' would work if everyone immediately changed to the latest version but unfortunately they don't, - we still have people looking for iPad 2 cases, iPad Mini cases, as well as iPad 3 cases - or is that new iPad Retina cases.

Right, criticism over, whatever they call it, the iPad is still the measure by which all tablets must be assessed. Words like 'Let down' have been used (Gizmodo), 'wait for the iPad 4' (MotoringCrunch), but then all of these articles go on to admit that the new iPad is a pretty fantastic product. In reality it is just that Apple sets the bar for innovation so high that a major engineering upgrade, leading to a genuinely enhanced user experience, can be seen as disappointing!

Let's face it the iPad is a screen - and the new Ipad now boasts a screen that makes HD-TV look coarse and grainy. 2043x1536px - see if you can see the dots! To cope with this they have upgraded to a quad core graphics processor and improved the battery so that the system as a whole performs much as it did before. So that's a mere factor of four improvement over the iPad 2 and some people think it's disappointing, perhaps they should try making things instead of just talking.....
