Having been woken up by one of our 6 month old twins around 3am last night, I was shocked and sadden to find out about the passing of the  “Genius” of a man Steve Jobs. Thinking to myself what not only is it a terrible grievance to his family, friends and colleagues – but a gloomy sad day to the Technology industry as a whole. Not only have Apple gone on to become the worlds largest technology company, but they have seeded thousands, tens of thousands – maybe hundreds of thousands of ancillary / service companies and factories like ourselves around the world. It would be staggering to attempt to quantify the impact he had on our world & the world.

It was the launch of the mini-ipod in 2005 that got us moving. I rushed out bought one of the colourful devices, but could not find a decent leather case to tone down the day-glow bright blue!. So the challenge was laid down to attempt to source some cases and start a small "weekend" business to supply the like minded people like me. I remember how nervous i was fronting the factory my £1000 ish in advance to place the order, with no idea what - if anything would arrive. Jubilation when they finally did, I rushed them onto Ebay during the weekend (as i had a proper job!) - with the worst set of images ever seen!  Followed by rushing them down to the post office to mail them off and try to convince my wife that this just may pay off one day!

Well here we are today, like many other companies servicing the market Steve Jobs created.

He is my hero in every respect.

He is already missed

Our condolences to all those people close to him
